Dr Kate Gwynne: Digital strategy, content and emerging technologies.

Kate has built a career working at the forefront of new technologies. She develops strategic & creative solutions to navigate the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.

In 2023, Kate was awarded a PhD in Creative Practice from the University of New South Wales for her thesis titled, Co-Creating with the Senses: Towards an Embodiment Grammar for Conceptualising Virtual Reality (VR) Narrative Design. Her writing on the intersection of the arts and technology has also appeared in Guardian, The Conversation, and in chapter of the book “Creating Digitally“, published by Springer in December 2023.

Prior to this, Kate completed a Master of Arts in Prose Fiction at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England. Her short fiction has been longlisted for prestigious international writing prizes.

Before her time in academia, Kate worked in leading global agencies in New York and London. As a digital strategist, she was a key player in the establishment of Dentsu mcgarrybowen’s social media capabilities in their New York office. Progressing to a senior role, she was transferred to the London office to set-up their social media capabilities and where she led the strategy and execution of many successful social media campaigns.
